" Oftentimes, we feel that we maybe standing in the way of someone's happiness. Aunt Bee thought that if she married Goss, then Andy would be free to find a mate, also. Children usually find the truth, when adults overlook it. " - r.p. from VA

" I love the ending of this episode Andy was at his very best and I agree children can often see things and say things with more clairity than adults.I do have a question though why was Aunt Bee such good friends with Clara? I think she was rather mean to Bee and always filling her head with the idea that she was't good enough or was in the way. Does anyone else feel that way? I think they could have given Bee a better best friend." - Kellie from California

"Like a number of episodes in the early years of the series, this episode isn't really funny per se, but is very sweet and moving. These episodes tended to focus a little on character study rather than hilarious happenings; the ultimate result was a picture of human kindness and decency. " - Robert from Ontario, Canada
