"This is about as weak as they get. The focus is on Opie and Mike and, at this point, Opie is at the awkward age and Buddy Foster, as Mike, just isn't a good kid actor at all. He's much too cutesy and so is the episode. This one isn't worthy of the show. Very lame." - Ken from New Jersey

" I just saw the show for the first time a few days ago, although I only saw the second half. The summary appears accurate, but there are some glaring omissions, which might be why this episode may have received a low rating by people who may have only read the synopsis. Toward the end, Mike finds a girl friend for himself, and does not take Opie up on playing more catch. Opie did NOT completely ignore Mike simply because Opie found a new girl friend.
